As a native Westchester resident, I grew up on the Long Island Sound swimming, playing, and competing in those waters. Swimming has been a part of my life since an early age, first as an age group swimmer in the Westchester County Swimming Conference and then on to Badger Swim Club, St. Bonaventure University, and at the Masters level. Open water swimming has also been a hobby of mine, with many miles logged in the Long Island Sound. The opportunity to enjoy those same waters on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) came a few years ago and I was instantly hooked. SUP offers a fantastic way to enjoy the beauty of the Long Island Sound while getting a great workout. To be an instructor at SUP Westchester allows me to share my lifelong enjoyment of the Long Island Sound and continue with my passion as a schoolteacher. I am SUP Westchester certified and an American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard/ CPR/ AED/ First Aide.
